In order to be eligible to drive one of our vehicles you must have held a full, clean driving licence for a minimum of 24 months and be over 24 years of age.

Proof of identity

When you come to pick up a vehicle from us at Van Hire Down, you will need to produce your driving licence and a number of other documents that are necessary for insurance purposes.

Please bring:-

  • A recent utility bill with the same address on it as that on your driving licence;
  • A printed copy of the Booking Voucher from Van Hire Down;
  • Photographic ID; and
  • A current debit/credit card.

Please bear in mind that we cannot supply you with a vehicle unless these documents are produced.

Who can drive our vehicles?

In order to drive one of Van Rental Down’s vehicles you must be at least 24 years of age and have held a full, clean drivers licence for at least 24 months. Of course, you will need to show us your driving licence before we supply you with a vehicle. You will also need to show us other documents. These are required for all drivers.

1. A recent utility bill with the same address on it as that on your driver’s licence.
2. A valid debit/credit card
3. The Booking Voucher you were issued
4. ID with a photograph (e.g. a passport)
